Christmas is round the corner and so it’s inevitably cake time folks. And by mother-in-law, before I forget to mention, will be contracting a highly dangerous form of optimism these days. Confident about her culinary skill-sets, she’ll be churning out cakes in gay abundance; half-baked, as usual. Ya, people have tried explaining things to her and have even dissuaded her a hundred times from undertaking these hazardous tasks. But she is always adamant, when it comes to her life-missions. A fortress never moves it seems. And believe me, her cakes are a remarkable specimen.
Though preparations at home go awry, more often than not, a relative abroad orders cakes to India, via some online gifting company, thanks to her uncanny ability to sniff out the on goings in our household (thank God for that!).
