Cakes, Chocolates and Pastries…my 4-year-old son Aryan, given a chance, would gorge on them, anytime, any day. However, all hell breaks loose (he screams at the top of his voice and cries as if someone is torturing him) when it comes to making him have his daily dose of diet. He turns in to a weeping wreck, literally. But cakes…he doesn’t mind. You should see the glint in his eyes and the lovely smile that would spread across his face, followed by squeaks and jumps; merely at the sight of these sumptuous spread. Knowing his weakness for cakes, his aunt in US sends yummy, richly decorated cakes to India, keeping his flavours in mind.
Talking about the flavours, Aryan loves Pineapples cakes, Black forest cakes, Chocolate Cakes, Butterscotch Cakes…on second thoughts he loves all sorts of cakes, doesn’t he? And in case, he throws any temper tantrums, extend an olive branch to him in the shape of cakes. Yes it’s as simple as that. And I thank heaven for that… nothing more…nothing less. And with Christmas soon approaching, he’ll be eagerly looking forward to cut his favorite Chocolate cake on 24th night, i.e. Christmas Eve.
